When it rains...

So the past six weeks of our lives have been eventful. We had our beautiful baby girl (have I mentioned how cute she is?) after which Ephraim battled kidney stones for 14 days in a row. We were all set to bless baby Kate on February 3rd when his pain started. After 2 ER visits, Ephraim finally had a lithotripsy done on February 16th to remove the stones.
And the latest?...We went snowboarding yesterday up at Brian Head. It was a beautiful day...until I fell and broke my arm. my shoulder. no cast, just a sling for a week until the pain subsides. Then exercises to help it heal faster.
When it rains, it pours. And the medical bills are pouring in. We have met our family's deductible for the year already, so I told my children to get all of their bone-breaking and stitches in now while it will be cheaper. and for those of you who know Andy, you understand.

Summer, are you jealous?

I think summer was a little jealous of all of the fun we have had in the Southern Utah snow this winter season. So jealous that she's decided to show herself lately. It has been at least 60 degrees all of this past week. Today we basked in the sunshine and enjoyed all 63 degrees.
Noah and I sat outside on the porch swing yesterday evening and enjoyed vanilla pudding and animal crackers for dessert. Today Ephraim took off work early and we took the kids to the park. I love where I live. Thank you summer and thank you Southern Utah.

(As for you, Summer Endsley, I hope you're not jealous but I do hope you miss us)

Zion National Park

Sometimes I still can't believe Zion National Park is our back yard!

We love Conference Weekend every year and this year the weather was beautiful. We went up Sunday to the park to ride the shuttle on the scenic loop. Noah and Andy love anything where they get to spend time with Ephraim's sister and her family. We take this beautiful park for granted too often and need to use our annual pass more! What a great world we live in!
