Andy's head

I think this is a record for how often I've been blogging. Especially with how much I still have to do for Christmas. This post is in regard to Andy's rather large head (see Santa picture from two posts ago for confirmation). Andy falls a lot and always seems to faceplant on the floor. He has what we call a "permabruise" on his forehead. Yesterday evening Andy fell off of the chair and bumped his head again. This time was the worst. We waited, the swelling went down and we felt he was going to be OK. But the swelling went up again late last night...to twice the size of the original bump. We almost took him to the ER but opted against it after consulting with two nurses (are we bad parents for worrying about the cost of an Emergency Room visit?) This morning he is doing much better. His head is still big, of course, and the falls will keep happening. But at least for this Christmas season we might not have to visit the ER (we were there on Christmas Eve last year for Noah's allergic reaction to cashews).

Poor thing. That looks so painful. I am thankful I live with an EMT so he can make the ER decision. I'd be in there for everything. He saves us money. I hope your head feels better little man!

ohh, poor baby. We have been there. Although, I don't recall a goose egg quite like that one. These kids are so resilient. Merry Christmas. I would love to send you a christmas card. I am afraid I have lost your address would you mind giving it to me. mattandkristie@gmail.com
Thanks, Kristie

Poor guy...that was some bruise! Hope he is feeling better, and that you guys had a wonderful Christmas!

Caroline is our bruiser! She's always falling, because she's so active. Ever since she began walking at 9 months, she's been full of scraps, bumps, and bruises. Keeps things exciting!

That bump looks like it HURTS! It is so crazy how much the kids hit their head! I barley bumped mine on something the other day and I wanted to sit down a feel sorry for a minute! IT HURT! But the kids do it all the time and get right back up! I think its some kind of special design Heavenly Father has with little boys!

I am glad Andy is feeling better!
